PASSING ON THE FAITH AND KEEPING PRAYER AT THE HEART OF FAMILY LIFE

We are the Catholic Grandparents Association, a Ministry for Grandparents!

We are the first local chapter of the Catholic Grandparents Association in our diocese, a private global association of the faithful, united in a firm belief in the importance of the vocation of Grandparents in passing on the gift of faith handed down to us through the generations.

This ministry helps create awareness for the vocation of grandparents, while also affirming, assisting, encouraging and engaging Grandparents in passing on the faith within their families, the domestic church. We offer practical and spiritual support for grandparents, enrichment activities, group sharing of ideas and resources, and family events such as the annual Grandparent Mass and Pilgrimage.

We are called to be Disciples, to be intentional in passing on our faith. Grandparents understand instinctively the human, moral and spiritual challenges their grandchildren face growing up in today’s world. They want the very best for them, a life in Christ. Grandparents are, through their unconditional love, prayers, word and example, evangelizers of the faith for the next generation of disciples.
