Children's Religious Education
Preschool-Grade 6
Welcome to
Our Lady of Mount Carmel’s
Faith Formation program!
We are very happy that you and your family are a part of our family.
Program Highlights
Welcome Back!
While we are starting our new school year up, we hope you won't forget about your child's faith formation. It is important that students attend all 8 years of RE as we learn a little more about the topics every year. We hope that the new school year is a blessing to your family, and not a burden. Here is a little more info:
RE 2025-2026
Religious Education is an important part of your family's faith journey. We look forward to working with our families every fall because each new year brings us a renewed sense of enthusiasm for bringing your children closer to Jesus. We work together with parents to offer Faith Formation suited to your family's needs.
Our Religious Education sessions are held on Sundays and Mondays. Sunday classes will include Mass for grades preschool through eighth. Monday sessions will be offered for students in grades 1-8. We will have a Preschool program called "Tiny Seekers", and Kindergarten class on Monday at 5:00 PM, but not at the 7:00 PM session.
Our Family Faith session will meet one Tuesday a month from 7:00-8:15 for students in grades K-6.
We still need help and we hope any parent who has a child signed up for a classroom session, will be willing to assist in some way. We will need catechists, aides, hall monitors, parking lot attendants, and office aides, but these helpers must be up to date with Safe Environment policies including Protecting God's Children and Mandated Reporter Training.
We are always looking for dedicated people who are willing to share their faith with our youngest parishioners. We provide all the tools you need to share your faith with the children. You do not need to be a professional teacher, and if you need help, we are there for you! We can always use additional substitutes and seasonal, event help as well so please contact the RE office if you would like to share your faith.
Right now, we are looking for help with the following grades:
Sunday, Session A 9:00 to 9:55
Grade 6 Catechist, other classroom aides, substitutes, and Hall Monitors
Sunday, Session B 11:00-11:55
Catechist grade 7, Classroom aides, Substitutes, and Hall Monitors
Monday, Session A 5:00-6:00
Catechists for grades 5 & 7, Substitutes, and Parking Lot Attendants
Monday, Session B 7:00-8:00
Grade 8 catechist, Classroom Aides, Substitutes, and Hall Monitors
We thank you for being part of our program no matter how you are involved. Remember parents are the primary teachers and transmitters of the faith, so you can do this!
Thank you for all you do for your children, and may God bless you, keeping you healthy and safe throughout the new academic year.
